We created the name, brand personality, design, communication, digital hub and cocktails for this revolutionary hotel. It was based on the insight that, in a world of impersonal hotel chains, getting personal – and having a personality – are what connects. citizenM is focused on ‘mobile citizens’ – an international band of business people, fashion shoppers, party-goers, and culture lovers.
The hotel itself became a form of communication through a strong, holistic visual identity. citizenM has won a suitcase full of awards including best hotel 3 years running, as voted for by the Tripadvisor audience. Three hotels have opened successfully in Amsterdam and Glasgow and we’ve just launched the first of 4 hotels in London, soon to be followed by Paris and New York.
